On Wednesday 18th March, 20 children from Year 4 and 5 will be attending the Somerset Literacy Festival at Somerset College. Mrs O registered our school so that we could attend and she decided to take only 20 students to it. She asked the year 4's and 5's if they would like to attend and everyone was very excited. To be selected to go, interested students had to write an application letter to Mrs O and Mrs B explaining why they wanted to attend the festival. Darcy, Katie, Maddie, Isabel, Emmanuel, Hallie, Mya and Claudia were selected from our class. The children will get to listen to Andy Griffiths, Garth Nix and John Heffernan, just to name a few authors and will also get to watch a play as well.
When the children come back to school they will have to share what they learnt at the festival with the rest of the students.
