We have reached a very exciting part in the book we are reading, "The Invention of Hugo Cabret". We have discovered the link between the automaton and Papa Georges. A movie is mentioned in the book called "A Trip To The Moon" by Georges Melies. It was a silent movie made in 1902. Georges Melies is said to be the father of special effects.
Year 4 and 5 have a look at this movie, what do you think of it? Leave a comment. I have chosen the one that has commentary in it to explain what is happening in the movie. Don't forget it was made over 100 years ago!

Hello. My name is Simran. I'm from the Alice Smith School in Malaysia. Elizabeth Hurrell was my friend. That sounds like an intersting book to read!!
i think it is a great book to read because it does not have much words.
