We have really been enjoying using Myst to help us with our writing. We have done many things such as diamante poems and haiku poems. Probably the most fun was using photoshop on Mac books to create green screens. We will be putting them on our blog soon.
We decided to choose our favourite age in Myst and create a landscape scene using pastels. Mrs R demonstrated how to use pastels which are like chalk. She showed us how to blend and smudge the colours with our fingers, we then sprayed our work with fixative so that our finished piece didn't smudge any more. Mrs R got the idea from Mr Finlayson's class who created landscapes using paint after using realMyst. They were able to see the sky change colour. We were only using Myst Masterpiece so we had to imagine what the sky may have looked like at different times of the day!
We have put all the photos of our artwork into Smilebox.

I like the idea of what you have done. What I would like to know is why you and your students did this?
Did you just like the idea from Mrs.F's class? What is myst. Is it a program where you make art, and is online or a thing you do off the computer?
