FEEDING THE 5000 RECOUNT

Today in class we watched a youtube video of the bible story, Jesus feeds the 5000. We then rewrote the story together as a class. Before we wrote the story we talked about NARRATIVES and what a narrative has in it. We knew that narratives have an INTRODUCTION where the reader finds out about the characters and the setting; a COMPLICATION where the reader is introduced to the problem/s; and a CONCLUSION/SOLUTION where the reader finds out how the problem/s were solved. This is our recount of the story.

Jesus was with his disciples at Lake Galilee when a huge crowd followed him. The people followed Jesus because they heard that Jesus healed people.
Jesus told his disciples to go and feed the people. Andrew found a boy with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish but that wasn't enough to feed everyone.
Jesus took the bread and fish and went up a hill alone and prayed and gave thanks to God. He told his disciples to hand out the food. After everyone was done feasting Jesus told his disciples to collect the left overs, he said "Let us not waste one bit." There were 12 baskets of food left over.
